The countdown is ON, and if you have taken a firm look at your current or aspiring flag football team and realized you need to get back in action, then a tournament is the way to do it. All too often many flag footballers have the innate belief that they can just “Turn it on” when its showtime, but the reality is we all age and the idea of working out on a regular basis becomes a distant memory. Flag football scratches the inevitable itch to compete and win, but also serves as some degree of committed exercise. Yes running around serves as the cardio vascular work, but if there is no thought or some degree of organization put forth, how much competition and winning will there actually be?
Making a commitment to improving on the field has to be set in to motion by legitimate ACTION! Whether that’s getting together with a few friends and going outside to throw, talking strategy over beers or having a full scale practice on Tuesday s and Thursdays. ACTION MUST BE TAKEN!
Set a realistic goal before the season starts then consider the work you and your team have put forth to make that goal a reality.
